Abstract: The concrete structure are seriously eroded by grains of sand carried by strong winds, causing the durability of concrete construction to reduce. In this paper, the erosion wear test of mortar samples with different sand grading were carried out by grit-blasting experiments, and the effect of impact parameters and sand grading on the mortar erosion wear were investigated. The results show that under different erosion speed for mortar samples with different sand grading, erosion rates were highest at 90° impact, and lowest at 30° impact, which was consistent with traditional brittle material erosion laws. The sand grading affect erosion rate of mortar samples, erosion rates were highest for low sand grading, and lowest for high sand grading. The erosion wear mechanism of mortars is selective erosion wear in the short term.
