Abstract: The model of a 5 span continuous girder bridge is established using the finite element analysis software ANSYS to analyse and study the dynamics characteristics of the model. Through changing the influence factors of the across several of the bridge model, bridge pier height and stiffness, the conclusion and the corresponding parameters of the model are achieved, then the influence of earthquake on the continuous girder bridge is analyzed. Based on the conclusion, the earthquake resistance ability of the continuous buride is studied by using the dynamic time history analysis method. And the analysis results show that six-cross bridge seismic performance is best than those of the other bridges. Appropriately reducing flexible can increase the seismic performance of the bridge piers, and the influence of the bridge pier height on the earthquake resistance of this kind of continuous girder bridge is increased and then decreased with increaseing of the bridge pier first.
