Abstract: The propylene oxide sludge produced during the producing of epoxy propane using the emulsifcation process is harmful to the environment, so the comprehensive utilization of the propylene oxide sludge is studied. Ca (OH) 2 from the propylene oxide slag and fly ash (180℃, 8 h) were synthesized in conditions of saturated steam, then, the ceramsite with hydrated calcium silicate tobermorite as main hydration phase was prepared. Different ceramsite concretes were prepared with the same water cement ratio and using the propylene oxide slag as coarse aggregate. The influence law of the component of propylene oxide slag ceramsite by hydrothermal synthesis on compressive strength of the concrete is studied by orthogonal test. The test results show that the quartz sand content, calcium-silicon ratio and shell thickness of the epoxy propane slag ceramsite are the key influencing factors on the compressive strength of concrete.
