Abstract: Using of polypropylene fiber as an additive to add in the windblown sand-cement mixture, the compressive strength of the kind of Hydraulic Cement Mortars (CSCM) was tested. Test specimens were prepared with a mixture of varying content of cement and polypropylene fibers. The compressive strength of the specimens was tested after 7d and 28d curing periods. The results show that when polypropylene fibers are mixed in windblown sand-cement mortar, they will be evenly distributed in a matrix, relax the stress concentrations of crack around the tips, prevent crack expansion, and enhance the mechanical properties of windblown sand-cement mortar. Meanwhile with increasing of addition of polypropylene fiber, the compressive strength of windblown sand-cement mortar increases, however when the addition of polypropylene fiber is beyond 0.2%, it has no positive effect on compressive strength of the specimens.
