Abstract: The influence of total amount of cementitious material (as well as the ratios of each component), performance of artificial-sand and types and amount of additives on the wet-mixed plastering mortar are studied according to the performance requirements of common ready-mixed mortar. Based on experiments, the optimum mix proportion of M5～M15 plastering mortar with excellent overall properties (mortar consistency, water retention, operable time, compressive strength and workability) is determined. Some simple methods are put forward to control the production and construction quality of plastering mortar. The pilot production and applied results show that M5～M15 wet-mixed plastering mortar has excellent workability and construction quality during the period of construction. Hollow and cracks could not be found on the plaster wall through a long-term verification.
